Love book

I am playing again with Frilly and funkie. This challenge is all about four big Renaissance Men- Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael.  I was inspired by Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino and his probably most known angels painting-Sistine Cherubs... it is all about angels, hearts and love in my head. I made a book with heart, it`s suppose to be for some love lyrics and sentiments or ...... Book is also made with cork, like my tag yesterday.

 

Some of you asked how I made cork tag. I made a tutorial , but be aware that this is my first tutorial and my english is….dissaster!!

So lets go:

First randomly stamp on heavy paper - maybe cardboard.

 

Stamp some text on regular paper (or you can use some printed paper). Cut small squares and use distress ink on the edges for a vintage touch. 

 Glue everything together.

Measure and cut cork. For this project I chose to use 4 millimetre thick cork and it`s perfect.

Also cut 2 pieces of blank paper for inside covers. I am a very messy person and I prefer to finish this inside covers at the end. 

 

 

Glue the cork on a blank cover first and then add the front cover. It’s good to put something  heavy on this (a heavy book is perfect) and leave it to dry overnight. The next day the covers will be dry and neat.

  

 

If you wish to make a frame too: cut some cardboard – don’t forget about right angels! Choose an embossing folder for texture and paint it. Leave to dry.  Now add some distress embossing powder and heat. Before you wipe distress embossing powder (to remove the release crystals), add some pearls in powder and heat again.

 I also made some book corners with the same technique, buthere I used grungeboard. 

Embellish your covers, bind it all and…TA DA; you are finished!

Hey girl!

Tokrat sem poizkusila nekaj novega - izdelavo verižice. Sicer z nakitom nimam izkušenj, tako da bodite malo uvidevne s komentarji! :) Seveda so vsi nasveti dobrodošli!

This time I try something new. I made a necklace and it’s my very first piece of jewellery, so please be kind with your comments, I accept only advices! :) :)

Simpl ku pasulj, narejeno z malo papirja, Crystal resin-a in koščkov lesa, ki so ostali od slikarskih platen.

Supplies: Crystal resin, printed images and wood – scraps from canvas.

Mini Mini

Moji blog prijateljici Anita in Marjie sta dizajnerke pri  Frilly and Funkie in preko njiju sem odkrila ta luštkan  blog. Njihovega izziva se udeležujem prvič, glasi pa se: Texture - veliko različnih tekstur z nekaj tkanine.

 
Torej .... spackala sem malo, majhno, mini, ... beležko. Platnice so narejene iz TH grunge papirja, pobarvane z zlato in temno rjavo akrilno barvo. Drugi nanos-rjavo barvo sem nanašala s papirnato brisačo, da sem dobila nekakšen »usnje« izgled. Platnice na prepogibu so pobarvane s črno, nato pa še speštane z reliefno Wood mapico. Foto deklice sem dobila nekje na netu (itak ne vem kje J), dodala sem nekaj besedila in veliko Utee-ja, da je ratal nekakšen obesek. Na koncu sem dodala še malo jute in TH starinsko pero. To je to…..za mini pozabljivce!

 

My blog friends Anita and Marjie are Frilly and Funkie designers and that how I found this really nice blog. This is my first participation in their challenge. Challenge is: Texture - lots of different textures with some fabric.

So…. I made a little, tiny, small, mini,… note book.  Covers are made with TH grunge paper, painted with gold and dark brown and that I get that »leather look« I paint second colour (brown) with paper towel. Folded part of covers is painted with black and embossed with Wood e. folder. Photo of beautiful girl I found somewhere on net, I  add some text and a lot of Utee. At the end I took some jute (hope this correspond to the fabric part) and TH vintage pen.
