What makes you smile

Kaj vam privabi nasmeh na ustnice je naš novi izziv pri Our Creative Corner ... Jan je gostiteljica in je takole opisala svoj izziv :

Za nekaj minut zaprite oči, se sprostite in pomislite na nekaj kar vam pričara nasmeh…….

Lahko je posebna oseba, najljubši kotiček, verz, pripetljaj...seznam je neskončen!

Za junijski izziv naredite nekaj, kar bo nasmejalo tudi nas, scrapbook ali journal stran, platno, tagec, skratka karkoli vam narekuje domišljija. 

 Kot vidite je moj blog malo zapuščen in to zato, ker je moj delovni dan običajno dolg okoli 12 ur...ko jaz zaprem oči, si predstavljam prosti čas...ustvarjanje in predvsem sprehode po gozdu...odločila sem se narediti okvir poln naravnih elementov, ki me spominjajo na moje sprehode, tudi ko nimam časa za njih.....

It could be a special person, a favourite place, a quote, an incident, the list is endless! 

Your June challenge is to create something that will make us smile, it could be a scrapbook or journal page, a canvas, a tag, whatever your imagination dictates.

As you can see my blog is abandoned and that is because my working days are usually about 12 hours long...when I close my eyes, I imagine free time....crafting and especially walks through the forest …that`s make me smile....I decided to make a frame full of natural pieces, which reminds me of my walks even when I don’t have time….

Jajčka so narejena iz papirne mase, pošpricana z zelenim inkom in poštempljana s kovinskimi štampiljkami in črnim inkom....

Eggs are made from Paper Mache, sprinkled with green ink and stamped with metal stamps and black ink...

Steklenička napolnjena s polomljeno jajčno lupino, okrašena z rjavo nitjo in Timovimi Remnant Rubs...

Glass vial is filled with broken eggs shell, decorated with brown thread and Tim`s Remnant Rubs...

Zadnjo stran Tissue wrap Melange sem prebarvala z belo barvo, nato prilepila na krogec iz kartona in veščo obrobila z Vintage Photo Distress ink....

The back of Tissue wrap Melange is painted with white paint, glued on the cardboard circle and then traced around moth with Vintage Photo Distress ink....

Kovinski okvir je postaran z rjavim in črnim inkom...leseni krogci so narezani iz veje.....

Metal label holder is distressed with black and brown Alcohol Ink....wooden circles are cut from branch....

List je izrezan s Prima šablono in pobarvan s kavo....cvetovi papirne rožice, lesen krogec, mah...vse prilepljeno z vročim lepilom.....

Leaf is cut with Prima Metal Die and painted with coffee....paper flower petals, wooden circle, moss...all glued with hot glue....

Sukanec spet s sponkami, čipka, pergamentni papir in lesen ptiček za piko na i....vse v lesenem okvirju, ki je pobarvan z rjavim lakom in pobrušen s smirkovim papirjem...

Thread attached with staples, lace, vellum paper and wooden birdie for the final touch....all in a wooden frame which is painted with brown varnish and distressed with sand paper.....

April Showers bring May Flowers

Pozdravljene "frendice"...ali lahko verjamete, da je že maj...čas tako hitro beži....
...danes bi vam rada pokazala izdelek narejen za naš novi izziv pri Our Creative Corner...Shari je gostiteljica ta mesec in izbrala je....

Aprilski dež prinese majske cvetice

Shari želi videti izdelek, ki na kakršen koli način odraža spomladanski dež in/ali spomladanske cvetlice.....(za celoten prevod, prosim uporabi Google prevajalnik na desni strani bloga)....

Ker sem tako in tako nameravala narediti darilo za gospo, ki ima rada rožice, sem združila prijetno s koristnim in naredila male magnete....rožice v svetlih, pomladanskih barvah in kapljice dežja...zdi se, da barve rožic oživijo v vsaki kapljici jutranjega dežja....

...today I would like  to share project made for our new challenge at Our Creative Corner…this month host is Shari and  she chose the theme….

April Showers bringMay Flowers

...Or so the proverb goes.  Spring comes late in my neck of the world, in the mountains of Northern Idaho.  In the month of May (with Summer just weeks away), our Spring flowers are still, usually, under a thin blanket of snow, until those Spring rains wash it all away.

This month, the challenge is to create something, a mixed-media project, a journal page, a scrapbook page, a card or tag...Anything, that reflects the Spring rains and/or Spring flowers in your part of the world.

Now, I'm not going to nit-pic your choices of Spring flowers, as the growing season here where I live is short and our Spring flowers don't last very long before the blooms of Summer start budding.  So, if you throw in flowers of Summer into your creation, that's OK, too.

 I had to make gift for a lady who love flowers very much, so I decided to combine fun with useful…I made little magnets with flowers, which blooms in bright, spring colours…there you can also notice few drops of early morning rain.…the colours of the flowers seem to come alive in every drop….

Najprej sem zlepila skupaj dva lesena kotnika (ostanki slikarskih platen), da sem dobila malo hiško. Hiško sem pobarvala s črno akrilno barvo in nato še z belo. Robove sem pobrusila, da sem dobila starinski, obrabljen izgled. Na zadnjo stran sem prilepila magnete, prednjo stran pa okrasila s papirnimi rožicami, bleščicami in raznimi kovinskimi dodatki......

I started with gluing together two pieces of canvas corners, so I got a little house...I coloured it, first with black acrylic paint and then with white...edges are sanded , so I reached old, distressed look. I added strong magnets on the back...front is embellished with paper flowers, glitters, metal gears and tags...

Papirne rožice pokapane s črno tinto, žica in razni kovinski dodatki....

Plastične bleščice v ujemajoči se barvi...v moji domišljiji so to kapljice jutranjega dežja.....

Kovinski "tag" je narejen iz pločevinke piva, poštempljan in pobarvan.....

Pozdravljene....danes sem prav počaščena, ker so me zopet povabili na Country View Crafts blog...v februarju so izbrali moj izdelek za Top 3 in prav vesela sem, da sem našla čas, da se jim danes pridružim...Sue D (aka Sue the Iron) je izbrala temo tega meseca....Uporabi Kraft kartico..."simpl ku pasulj"....kraft kartica se lahko uporabi na sto in en način....jaz sem jo predelala v imitacijo lesa in uporabila za ozadje na kolažu....

Hello dear friends….Today I am thrilled to be spotlighted at Country View Crafts blog again…I was chosen for top 3, back in February and I am very happy that I found time to join them at  this month challenge…Sue D (aka Sue the Iron) has chosen the theme and she said…Use Kraft card…..easy, peasy…kraft card can be used in so many ways…. I transformed it into faux wood background on my collage……..

Embellishments: paper scraps, beads and dry rose petals

Tule so hitri koraki, kako narediti imitacijo lesa:
1. Nareži trakove iz Kraft kartice...enako široke, ampak različne dolžine...
2. Razporedi in prilepi trakove na kos papirja...
3. Uporabi velik, suh čopič, pomočen v belo akrilno barvo in narahlo podrgni čez Kraft kartico....
4. Z manjšim čopičem podrgni še okoli robov in spojev.....tako, da spoji postanejo bolj očitni.....

Uporabljeni materiali: Papermania Kraft kartica 280 gsm, bela akrilna barva, Tim Holtz Found Relatives (ozadje kartic je prečudovito, zato bi bila sramota jih ne uporabiti...olupila sem kartico in uporabila ozadje na kolažu), strani stare knjige in notnega črtovja, tissue papir, Sizzix tiny tabs & tags šablona, Prima leaf šablona, lesen krogec, perlice, cvet papirne rožice, posušen cvet vrtnice, sukanec, plastičen okvir, črn ink.

Here are quick steps how to make faux wood background:

1. Cut the same width, but different length of Kraft card…
2. Arrange and glue the stripes on piece of paper…
3. Use a big, dry brush, dipped in white acrylic paint and lightly brush over the Kraft card…
4. With small brush go over the edges and joints….so them become more visible....

Products used: Papermania Kraft card 280 gsm, white acrylic paint, Tim Holtz Found Relatives (the back of the cards are also very beautiful… would be a shame not to use it…I peeled the back and used it in my collages, too), old book pages and music sheet, tissue paper, Sizzix tiny tabs & tags die, Prima leaf die, wooden circle, beads, paper flower petals, dry rose petal, thread, plastic frame, black ink.

Uporabljeni materiali: stran iz stare knjige,ostanki papirja,koščki kartonaste embalaže, skice rožic (rada bi se naučila risati, pa malo vadim), štampiljke Tim Holtz in Maureen Blackman – Stampington, pikast washi trak, mali leseni okvir (pravzaprav polomljen obesek)

Skoraj vsi odtisi štampiljk so obkroženi in malo spremenjeni s črnim markerjem, tako, da izgledajo kot skice….kolaž meri približno 14 x 20 cm.....

Products used: vintage book page, paper leftovers, pieces of packaging, flowers sketches (I would like to learn to draw, so I practice a little bit), Tim Holtz and Maureen Blackman – Stampington stamps, polka dot washi tape, little wooden frame (in fact is broken pendant)

Almost all stamped images are traced and a bit altered with black pen, so they look like sketches...collage measure approx. 14 x 20 cm.....
